On our 2019-2024 HIT website, we had only two types of pins on our map:
– Red “Hosting” pins, and
– Blue “Services” – discounts with tourist business operators.

But with our latest website, we can instantly show you more than a dozen ways (the list is growing) for Isaelis and hosts to interact. Even if hosts cannot offer a bed in their home, we are sure that there will be other ways to interact with Israelis…
15+ Ways to Interact with Israelis
Though “Private home” hosting – offering a place to sleep in your home – is the most popular way to host Israeli travellers, this is not the ONLY way. There are many other ways to interact with Israelis. How many of them can you do? Tap on the headings to find out more about each one:
- Category A: Accommodation Providers
- Category B: Social Hosting / Meal Providers
- Category H: Local Information Person
- Category S: Services
- Category J: Jewish Cultural Provider
- Category W: Work Providers
- Church or other religious organisations

“Private home” hosting – offering a bed, a mattress on the floor, a fold-out couch, or other short-term accommodation. It may not be 5-star, but it comes with a big heart!

Her Israeli visitors sleep on the floor and out in her yard in their tents and campervans.
She may not have a big home, but she has a huge heart!

Y = Yard Hosting
Perhaps you can provide a place in your garden to pitch a tent or park a campervan – you do not need to provide camping equipment – many Israelis travel with their own vans or carry their own camping gear.
