How to Advertise My Business on HIT for FREE!

Our old HIT website had pretty blue pins representing discounts with touristy businesses that travellers utilised.
The same goes for this new HIT website!! (except the pins are yellow & blue!)
Businesses such as (but not limited to) the following can be listed:
- cafes, restaurants and other food vendors,
- tour guides and travel agencies
- bungy jumping and sports
- trail riding and motorbiking
- scenic flights and cruises
- churches
- photographers, galleries and artists’ studios
- surf schools and other training facilities
- vehicle rentals
- any business that interacts with tourists
If your business serves the tourist industry, we can advertise for free in exchange for the best deal or discount you can offer travellers coming to you through HIT. We call this a “service”.
“So, how do I list my business listed on the HIT website?”
There are FOUR steps (you are not listed as a service provider until you complete all 4 steps):
1) REGISTER A USERNAME*
Your USERNAME will be public.
Register the email address that HIT customers will use to contact you.
*Hosts can list their businesses too! If you are already a host, skip to step 4 below!
This USERNAME cannot be changed, so please be wise. Be safe.
2) VERIFY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
Go to your email inbox (or spam folder) and check for an email from WordPress. Please forward the email to us at the address provided to verify your email address.
If you do not receive this email, please contact us.
3) CREATE your business profile
Back on the website, tap on the PROFILE icon in the menu and PROFILE. To keep you safe, please add only vague details about yourself – why you want to bless Israelis at such a time as this.
Use your business logo as the profile photo, as this information will be public.
This is not your service profile. This is only ABOUT you.
4a) LIST YOUR SERVICE
Now tap on your profile photo and MY LISTINGS | ADD NEW.
Fill in the form adding only relevant details (37-68% complete is perfectly satisfactory).
Please skip all irrelevant questions including accommodation questions. [See detailed instructions below on filling-out the form*]
SUBMIT.
Della will need to APPROVE it so please contact her.
You are not a service until you complete this step.
4b) Multiple locations?
Can you offer your service/discount in multiple locations? You can list your service at every location but you need to create a different listing for each.
Once you submit the first location, go to MY LISTINGS and ADD NEW (or DUPLICATE if most of the information is similar) for each location.

5) BE PROACTIVE on Facebook
Don’t wait for Israelis to contact you! Join* the HIT Facebook group and start proactively inviting Israelis to your business!
Israelis are doing posts about their travels. Regularly scroll through the posts, inviting Israelis to your business – even if they are not coming to your area/country.
*Once you tap on JOIN, please contact Omri and tell him you are a service, just listed through the HIT website and verified by Della. He will approve you.
Regularly Update your Profile
Please take a look at your profile. If/when you need to update your profile, please tap on EDIT PROFILE and make amendments regularly.

*Detailed instructions on how to fill out the SERVICE PROVIDERS form:
- After registering, LOGIN and tap on your PROFILE ICON
- Then tap on MY LISTINGS and ADD NEW
- Select DEAL/DISCOUNT under “Kind of place”.

- Add TITLE (using 36 characters or less)
- Then create the description of the service you are offering.
Use the formatting ribbon to make it pop!
You can be general here. You will have the opportunity to list specific services on another page. - For “TYPE OF LISTING” tap on OPERATOR OF TOURISTY BUSINESS in the drop-down box.
Ignore irrelevant questions - Add your WEBSITE URL
- Add your NAME
- Tap on CONTINUE
[IGNORE everything on the “pricing” page. Scroll to the bottom and tap on CONTINUE]
SELECT and UPLOAD a few photos of your service / products. Include photographs of people enjoying your service.
Wait until the images go from UNDEFINED to DEFINED.
If you have a promo video, add the VIDEO URL.
Tap CONTINUE
Tap on any AMENITIES that are relevant
Tap on relevant FACILITIES
Tap on CONTINUE
- Add your ADDRESS
- If you cannot see a map, scroll down and add your GPS coordinates.
For detailed instructions, read our “Map-pin” blog. - Tap FIND MY LOCATION – nothing will seem to happen but it has.
- Tap on CONTINUE
[IGNORE the BEDROOMS page. Tap CONTINUE.]
If you have multiple services, you can be more specific here. Or not.
Tap on ADD ANOTHER SERVICE for each one.
Tap CONTINUE
- If you have any RULES or TERMS or CONDITIONS for your discounted service, please add specific details to the relevant boxes.
- Tap on SUBMIT!
That’s it!
The HIT secretary will need to approve your listing. Please contact her.
Then check your map pin and amend your listing regularly.

My husband (1954) and I (1969) live on a 320-acre hobby farm about an hour's drive west of Tenterfield and 4 hour's drive west of Byron Bay, NSW. I have been the secretary of the HIT network since 2015 and enjoyed travelling the world with Omri (the founder of HIT) from 2015 to 2019 finding almost 4000 hosts and services for Israelis. I have been to Israel 4 times (2006, 2007, 2016, and 2018). I can speak a little Hebrew, I can read Hebrew but do not have much vocabulary, I can understand a a tiny bit of Hebrew (if I know what is the topic of conversation). We are really looking forward to your visit!
