So, you have been a host for years, but you still have had no visitors? What can you do to encourage Israelis to visit your home?
This will mostly be because of your location (I, too, live in an area that Israelis don’t come to!) – some locations are “hot spots” for Israelis, while others are not even known to them.
[Another likely cause is that your contact details are not correct. Please log in and check. Have you ever heard from the HIT office? Perhaps your email is incorrect. Contact Della]
Be Proactive. Don’t just wait for them to contact you! You invite them!

Israelis are doing posts, right now, on our HIT group about their travel plans.
If you are on Facebook, please join* the HIT Facebook group and start proactively inviting Israelis to stay with you!
[Or search Israeli groups on Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media, and JOIN them, inviting Israelis to come and rest!]
*Once you tap on JOIN, please contact Omri and tell him you are a host/service, just listed through the HIT website.
Daily or weekly, scroll through the group posts, LIKING*, commenting, and inviting Israelis to your home/service. Even if they are not coming to your area/country, invite them to come.
*If you LIKE every post you read, next time you are on the group, you will instantly know which ones you have already responded to.
Feel free to add a post to the HIT group describing your home, your area, your service, and even your country. Make it attractive. What would draw Israelis to your area? Is it peaceful? Are there hikes nearby?
If you live in a city with an international airport, offer to pick them up from the airport – I know from personal experience just how nice it is to have a smiling face to welcome me in a new country, with a new language, and a different currency and culture.
When you do finally have visitors, please do a post on the HIT Facebook group, sharing your joy!
Please send me feedback on your experience – let me know of any issues so we can iron them out!
Blessings,
Della
Secretary of the HIT network
Thank you soooo much for hosting Israeli travellers, especially at such a time as this!
