Thank you to all our hosts who have accommodated Israelis over the last quarter century. Wonderful!
But you can no longer host. Thank you for being willing to host all these years! May the LORD, the God of Israel, bless you for blessing His Covenant People.
But did you realise that the new HIT website offers over TWELVE other ways to interact with Israelis – that there are different ways to participate, apart from private hosting?!
So, if you would still like to interact with Israelis, but cannot offer a bed, there are other ways to spend time with the Jews:
SOCIAL HOSTING
Offer a meal or take out for a coffee. Show your visitors around your area. Or perhaps just offer to pick them up from public transport and take them to their accommodation. Register as a SOCIAL HOST!
YARD HOSTING
Don’t have room in your home? Do you have a yard? Could Israelis pitch their tent or park with a campervan? Why not register as a YARD HOST!
JEWISH CULTURAL PROVIDER
Are you part of a Prayer For Israel meeting, or an Israeli dancing group. Maybe your congregation celebrates the Jewish Feasts.
Join as a Jewish Cultural Provider.
PAID WORK PROVIDER
Many Israelis come to your country on a working holiday visa. Can you either provide them with work or connect them to people who can?
Register as a Work Provider.
NEED VOLUNTEERS?
Perhaps you are part of a mission or ministry that relies on volunteers. Israelis love to help.
Why not register and check the “Volunteers Needed” box?
NEED A HOUSE SITTER / FARM MINDER?!
Do you have pets/farm animals? Or plants that need watering? Or maybe you would like someone to stay in your home/farm while you are away? Register as someone looking for a HOUSE MINDER.
TOURIST INFORMATION PERSON
If you cannot do any of the above, perhaps you can just be a “HIT contact” – someone the travellers can turn to for information in your local area: things to do, places to see, where to get tyres, batteries, etc. If nothing else, why not just register as a HIT Contact?!
So, you can see that there are many ways in which you can interact with Israelis – many ways to bless the Jews at such a time as this. Though you cannot host in your home, perhaps you can be a host in one of these other ways!? If so, go to BECOME A HOST and REGISTER today!
